About CPDSE

CPDSE is a joint initiative between UCPH and SDU that integrates data science into pharmaceutical education. It trains future drug experts across all academic levels through research-based programs.

Vision

Data science is an integral core capability in life science workers and organisations.

Mission

We upgrade, transform and help deliver pharmaceutical educations so universities can supply well-educated and data-science savvy people – spanning bachelor, master, PhD and life-long learning levels.

The center's activities span community-building, infrastructure, course design, direct teaching, and the networks that keep pharma data science moving across institutions.

Community

We build a strong and open community for pharmaceutical data science.

Infrastructure

We develop and deploy low-friction infrastructure that empowers non-expert data science.

Curriculum reform

We upgrade and reform pharma-courses, and design new courses that integrate data science.

Direct teaching

We contribute directly to teaching at BA, MS, PhD and life-long learning levels.

Networks

We connect and develop national and international networks in pharma data science and data science education.

We embrace iterative progress. Get a working version out quickly to test and learn, rather than waiting for a perfect final product.

Time-boxed & iterative work

All work has an expiration date. Clear deadlines prevent projects from stalling and encourage continuous improvement through new iterations.

Embrace differences in time commitment

Team members have varying levels of availability. We structure work so everyone can contribute meaningfully, regardless of their time commitment.
